A Green A Day
Do a little something green every day! Make your routine go green.

1. Check the toilets and sinks in your house or apartment. Fix those little leaks and drips.

2. Practice hypermiling when you drive. Drive slower, brake less, and keep your tires inflated.

3. Unplug "vampires". If you never use the postage meter in your home office, or your electric treadmill in the basement, unplug it today.

4. Walk somewhere instead of driving. Or, just take the stairs instead of the elevator.

5. Re-use your cardboard coffee cup if you have one. Use a washable one even better!

Cost to Drive
Enter your starting and ending points, the year, make and model of your car, and this site will tell you how much it will cost to drive your route.  Use it to inspire you to bike to work. This Green calculator is also a great green help when you're researching Rental Cars and want to caluculate what different models will cost financially and environmentally.
Fuel costs for a trip from LA to NYC would be $111 in a Prius, and $356 in a Hummer. Hmmmm.
